Hi,

I installed FreeBSD 5.3 release on my Toshiba Portege R100.

S4BIOS worked but it doesn't suspend to disk, it looks like it’s
basically doing the same thing as S3 when I try “acpiconf –s 4” with
hw.acpi.s4bios set to 1. S4OS (hw.acpi.s4bios=0) doesn’t work, it brings
the machine down.

It looks like s4bios needs some sort of hibernation partition to work
properly, but I haven’t found anything about fixing up such kind of
partition on Toshiba???

Alternatively, the handbook I found in freebsd.org dosen't say if I need
any special configuration to allow S4OS to work?

Cheers.
