when trying to install gmake i got this error:
<date> bast /kernel: pid 789 (fetch), uid 0 on /home: out of inodes

however, df gives me this:
filesystem 1k-blocks used avail capacity mounted on
/dev/ad0s1a 297663 33596 240254 12% /
/dev/ad0s1f 99183 52879 38370 58% /home
/dev/ad0s1g 455031 365303 53326 87% /usr
/dev/ad0s1h 297663 1009 272751 0% /var
/dev/ad0s1h 4 4 0 100% /proc

so it seems to me that i have plenty of space on /home and this should not
cause a problem. as a side note i have /usr/ports as a sym link to
/home/ports since /usr was running out of space. i would not think this
would be a problem but it seems to be having trouble. what is causing this
and what can i do to fix it. thank you.
