Greetings!=0D=0A=0D=0AI've just installed jdk1.4.2 via ports on my FreeBS=
D 5.1. I've already=0D=0Atested java compiler and interpreter and seems t=
o be ok. Also, I have=0D=0Arun an applet demo that is included with jdk -=
 ok!=0D=0A=0D=0ABut the problem is when I try to open an applet in a remo=
te site (ICQ=0D=0AGo! for example). It always fails on opening and create=
 a java core=0D=0Adump file. I've already tested with Konqueror, Opera, M=
ozilla and=0D=0AMozilla Firebird browsers: all can run applets locally (e=
xcept for opera).=0D=0A=0D=0AThere are some messages that appear. One exa=
mple in Opera (with the=0D=0Aoption -javadebug):=0D=0A=0D=0A"opera: [java=
] failed to load libawt.so:=0D=0A/usr/local/jdk1.4.2/jre/lib/i386//libawt=
.so: Undefined symbol "__xuname"=0D=0Aopera: [java] failed to load libjaw=

ople are having the some=0D=0Aproblem, but no solutions had been provided=

l:=0D=0Adiablojdk (doesn't run on free 5.1)=0D=0Alinux-ibm-jdk14 (errors)=
