r, in terms of general advice:=0A=0A=A0 * You need to ensure that there is =
no lingering filesystem corruption=0Awhich could trigger a repeat.=A0 Reboo=
t the system into single user mode,=0Aand then run:=0A=0A=A0 =A0 fsck -fy /=
dev/ad7s4a=0A=0Aetc. for all the devices listed in /etc/fstab or elsewhere =
that have=0Aactive filesystems on them.=A0 Run fsck like that repeatedly fo=

=0A=0Adumpdev=3D"AUTO"=0A=0Ato /etc/rc.conf and reboot.=0A=0A=A0 * The prob=
lem could well be due to disk malfunction, or maybe=0Asomething as trivial =
as a loose or kinked data cable leading to the=0Adrive, or overheating.=A0 =
Powering the machine down, opening the case and=0Achecking for any obvious =
problems would be a good idea.=A0 Also, check the=0Asystem logs to see if t=
here are any kernel messages indicating non-fatal=0Atrouble.=A0 Install the=
sysutils/smartmontools port and use that to get a=0Ahealth report on the d=
rive:=0A=0A=A0  smartctl=A0 -A /dev/ad7=0A=0A=A0 * It seems you don't have =
any sort of hard drive resilience set up.=0AIf this server is important for=
your business, then using mirrored hard=0Adrives is just plain common sens=
e.=A0 If there's room in the chassis,=0Asimply adding another drive identic=
al to the one you have and setting up=0Agmirror RAID should be fairly simpl=

Running Platform Version 4.12.5 on FreeBSD-10, I accidentally hit the "WIN"
key and the "S" key simultaneously. I immediately lost my desktop. How do I=
 go
about getting it back. I really do not want to have to recreate all of those
icons I had placed there, etcetera manually. I cannot seem to find any thing
on this via Google.
