I'm betting this will be your problem. Many hosts on the net (especially
ones hosting mailing lists) will check to make sure forward and reverse
DNS lookups agree. In this case it's a compromise to keep the level of
spam on the FreeBSD lists down.

In any case, you really should have properly working forward and reverse
DNS. Look into the dynamic DNS services like dyndns.org, or use @home's
mail servers.
