Elsukov Only difference in lsdev output was that the USB sticks didn't show, but that was because I had removed them. I reinserted the USB sticks, but they still didn't show, probably because the loader presumably does not recognize newly inserted USB sticks. I then typed "reboot" and successfully rebooted from the appropriate USB stick. Tom
