I noticed that libmemcached was last updated in 2012.  There are several bug
fixes in that project that might be relevant to this issue.

I can confirm that I'm having this issues, using FreeBSD 10, Memcached 1.4.17,
and libmemcached 1.0.7.  I'm connecting to memcached from PHP, using
pecl-memcached, which links against libmemcached.


Is there anybody experiencing this issue that is not using libmemcached?
