The 8000's were shipped with two different chipsets, it depended on 
whether you ordered the laptops with Windows or with Linux, I don't 
know about the 8100's yet, I haven't got any customer calls yet for 
support for Linux on the 8100's to confirm if that practice holds 
true for the 8100's.
