Good suggestion on using bsdlabel. Unfortunately I am required to use FreeBSD 4.6.2 which does not contain this utility and disklabel requires one to invoke an editor to define the new label. What I resorted to doing was having netboot create /usr100 and then later overwrite the /etc/fstab via an installation package that sets noauto for the label.
