The following reply was made to PR ports/153504; it has been noted by GNATS. From: Renaud Chaput <renchap@cocoa-x.com> To: bug-followup@FreeBSD.org Cc: Subject: Re: ports/153504: [NEW PORT] sysutils/rubygem-chef: A systems integration framework. Client part Date: Sun, 2 Jan 2011 21:38:46 +0100 Hi, Some thoughts about this port : - Maybe rename it as sysutils/chef ? Puppet, a similar tool, is packaged as sysutils/puppet, and chef is a tool, not really a gem used by other ruby programs. - There is already a port named chef : misc/chef. It also provides the binary bin/chef, i dont know how to handle that.
