Hi, I'm not terribly network aware so please pardon me if this is something basic: Over the past month I've seen messages like the following coming up occasionally (once in a few days) on the console: Aug 28 17:38:39 krill routed[46]: punt RTM_LOSING without gateway Aug 28 17:39:11 krill last message repeated 2 times This is followed at times by my rlogins/X connections freezing and timing out. This causes much grief :-(. Looks like something's hosing the network; however `ping' et al continue to work, and so do fresh rlogins. The only other anomalous message I see is : Aug 28 17:53:22 krill /kernel: arplookup 15.70.184.55 failed: host is not \ on local network Aug 28 17:53:38 krill routed[4856]: packet from unknown router 15.70.184.55\ or via unidentified interface This appears quite frequently but doesn't seem harmful. I'm running: FreeBSD 2.2-CURRENT #0: Thu Aug 22 16:23:28 IST 1996 root@krill.india.hp.com:/usr/src/sys/compile/KRILL Thanks, Koshy
