In won't work any more in present state, and I don't see > much reasons to update it, as cdrecord seems to work fine. I did some work to port acd(4) functionality needed by burncd(8) to user space. My version of burncd can now burn a CD using a pass(4) device but there's still a fair amount of work to do to make it releasable. I am not sure if I have interest to develop it further.
