Actually, I started working on a real full-blown fsdb several
months ago after having my #$!@^$%& root disk trashed one too many
times.  I've already got a good start on it, and actually started
looking at it again this weekend after being too busy for a couple
of months in there to do anything at all w/FreeBSD.  

translation: you might not want to spend a lot of time putting any
work into the current fsdb.
