Further to my Last Message:

The rebooting at boot just after the boot loader is loaded, and as the
Kernel loads in, Disabling the USB Legacy MOUSE/KEYBOARD/FDD in bios fixed
it.

Well I disabled that line in the bios and then used a PS2 KBD.

After Install complete I rebuilt the Kernel, and took out the ATKBD drivers,
so now it only looks for the USB KBD :o) and now I can have the USB LEGACY
stuff back on in the BIOS so that I can press the relevant F key for the OS
I want to boot.

Am I correct in thinking that if I had of re compiled the boot floppy on an
old machine with the PS2 KBD drivers removed and the USB ones installed,
that it would have all worked from the beginning ?

Learning lots today (I want to dual boot this PC Winblows for Work and
FreeBSD for play and development of a USB UPS interface for MGE UPS's :o)

Regards,
Kat.
