I know this has been discussed before, but I can't seem to find anything
in the list archives.

I just got the following errors:
/kernel: (da1:ahc0:0:12:0): READ(10). CDB: 28 0 0 2d 3a 16 0 0 80 0
/kernel: (da1:ahc0:0:12:0): MEDIUM ERROR info:2d3a45asc:11,0
/kernel: (da1:ahc0:0:12:0): Unrecovered read error sks:80,35

This drive is half of a vinum mirror, I told vinum to re-initialize the
plex, and it succeeded with no errors. That would seem to indicate that
the error is transient. My two questions are:

1. (and most important) how do I make sure bad sector remapping is
turned on for this (and all) SCSI drive
2. Isn't that weird? I would think a read error would persist.

Thanks for any reply,
Bill
