I was installing FreeBSD 2.0 off cdrom and believe I may have found a bug. I made the 5 1/4 "floppy" boot disk and could only get a error message of c:20 a:30 h:40 or something like that ;) I found out that the system that formated that floppy had a diifernt versions of dos commands like format, copy, ect. It worked fine and did make a boot disk using the cd rom of Freebsd, but it did not work on my system. When I made the boot disk on another Dos clone machine with Dos 6.2 installed properly it worked fine on my pentium system!!! To verify it I made another boot floppy on the suspected bad machine and it did the same error messages. I have the error message written down somewhere if you need them. Also... I have a NEWBIE question. How the #$%^&*( do I access my cd rom Freebsd disk under UNIX???? I have a buslogic 946C Scsi card and a ssci NEC quad speed cd-rom with a seagate internal ssci and a wangtech DAT. The system sees the cd when it goes through all the drives durring it's boot up procedure. But when I do a DF it does not show up. I have tried mount -a but it says something about incompaditable system thing. Please excuse my beginner questions..but the last freebsd 1.0 I FTP'd. I would like to add some packages like emacsxc
