Yes, please try:
# mdconfig -a -t malloc -s 16m -u 123
# mkntfs /dev/md123
/dev/md123 is not a block device.
Refusing to make a filesystem here!

My system:
10.0-RELEASE-p4
fusefs-ntfs-2014.2.15_1 from pkg+http://pkg.FreeBSD.org/${ABI}/latest
