Another arrangement exists on my SOLO 9100, which has two
Cirrus 6730 cardbus controllers on the laptop (which FreeBSD
runs in pc-card mode) and 1 Cirrus 6729 in the docking station.

The probe needs to support essentially arbitrary collections 
of pc-card and cardbus controllers...
