Hi Is it possible to use the traffic shaping bit of ipfw for a specific IP address. I have a cable modem, but I would like to emulate 56K modem speed to a single IP address to test the speed to website with real audio clip on them. Would "ipfw pipe 1 config bw 56Kbit/s queue 50KBytes mask 192.168.0.7/32" work? Also, do I put these entries at the top of my firewall config or the bottom. Also, it is possible to limit data requested to lets say 256KB a second, and let the rest of the line get taken up with web request etc. Gordon Ps Please could you reply direct?
