The 3940UW Dual channel controller works fine. It is detected by FreeBSD = and runs happy, but something Adaptec have done with the 3940AUW means = that it is not detected and if you try and fool it by installing first = using the 3940UW then change to the 3940AUW it begins to boot but can = not mount the root file system, and PANICS. Does anyone know what the solution is? I have BSD 2.2.5.
