Are you using cvsup8 by any chance?  One or more of the cvsup servers seems to 
be vending old files, and you apparently have a mixture of 2.4.1 and 2.4.2 
files from it.  You might also check:

% fgrep '$FreeBSD' /usr/ports/Mk/bsd.python.mk
# $FreeBSD: ports/Mk/bsd.python.mk,v 1.68 2005/10/02 14:31:39 perky Exp $
