I'm using the AMD 5x86 (for a few weeks) 
and I'm very satisfied. You'll want to 
have the primary and secondary cache set 
to WB with Dirty Tag RAM for best results.
(I can't set the primary cache to WB, but 
the secondary works and I found a cheap 
source for the Dirty Tag RAM: $8.00 for
another 10% ...)
