This is a multi-part message in MIME format. --------------21D61E95D3EDD853064FC9B6 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=iso-8859-1 Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable Hi, would it at all be feasible to make the FreeBSD distribution available via HTTP (in addition to FTP)? The reason why I'd like that is the following: =46rom work, I can't FTP out to the world, I can only request files via HTTP. Of course I can access FTP servers this way, but the instance that translates my FTP request to HTTP tries to guess the content type from the extension. Unfortunately, it thinks that scontrib.cc is a C++ source file (hence, text) and translates it to \r\n-terminated lines :-( = Actually, I don't think I'm the only one having this trouble. With http (and a properly configured HTTP server), there would be no problem. If you do follow my suggestion, please make sure that all distribution files are marked as application/octet-stream.
