Update.....

it was wokring with compression a bit (25% more on a tape) under the sgi
settings....

however i couldn't read back from any tape at all with the sgi setting.....

i changed back to default for now to try and do a backup.....

now i get the everyloveing message that tells you that the end of media has
been reached
     but as usual (especially since i started using antything greater than
2.2.6 or below 3.0-current)
     it doesnt ask for another tape.....

this is REALLY bad..... i need to back all this data up.....

even if it takes me 200 tapes i need it baked up....

(oh sorry meant backed not baked.....)
