Subject: leafnode won't run, why?

I have installed leafnode 1.4 and put a line in inetd.conf:

nntp stream tcp nowait news /usr/local/libexec/tcpd \
/usr/local/sbin/leafnode

I removed other entries referencing nntp services from inetd.con.

The /usr/local/etc/nntpserver says: 127.0.0.1 but I was timed out after
a while when I run tin.

Inetd.conf was killed and restarted... "ps ax" shows no trace of
leafnode. Strange?? What else could go wrong??????
