         The Ports System inside my FreeBSD Jail suddenly doesn't work any more (couple of days). I've already updated the base system, the jail itself, and the jail's ports tree. Ports in the base system work fine. Compiling stuff inside the jail works a s well (both ports and manually), but every port bails out with:

         ===> Checking if x already installed
         *** Error code 1

 Likewise, uninstalling a port doesn't work:

        ===>  Deinstalling for x
        *** Error code 1

 Everything else works. What's wrong?
