dump -0 -unL -C16 -B4589840 -P 'growisofs -speed=4 -Z \
/dev/cd1=/dev/fd/0' filesystem

is what I use to dump to DVD+R and +RW.  Change the speed to match
your drive and media, and the dump level to match what you want to do.
