i had posted this to -ports initially and cc'd to tobez@freebsd;
after not getting any response since jan 10, i will try my luck
on -questions.

freebsd version is 4.5-prerelease (2002.01.06.17.36.09 UTC). after
cvsup of ports on jan. 10, test 116 (locale) was failed. below is
the output from "lang/perl5/work/perl-5.6.1/t/perl harness"...

pragma/locale.......# The following locales

        Failed 1/116 tests, 99.14% okay

...all other tests were ok/skipped.

what is the significance of this failure? can i still install perl
w/ the impression that "there may be problems w/ ISO8859-15 locales
if i try do anything w/ them"?
