Maybe... but I think that would make no odds, because although it
started at 0300, it subsequently retried at different times throughout
the following week.

OK I'm using -P m now on all the freebsd boxes. Still using cvsup4.uk,
will try again with cvsup.uk when I've got more time, and if necessary
report the issue to -hubs.
