Hello Darian,

Well while looking at my ASUS CUSL2-C motherboard I found that I've
got only one blue female connector. AFAIK the blue female connector
indicates where the system cable end (also usually blue) should be
plugged to. That means that either I've got only one UDMA-5 ide
channel or someone had run out of blue parts. This is unbelievable but
who knows ... :))

Switching hard rive from first to second IDE channel made nothing, it
was still identified as UDMA-5 by the BIOS. I don't have FreeBSD
installed on this machine, so I can't move further.

So can you try to move the IBM-DTLA-307030 to the first channel boot
from floppies or CD-ROM and if the UDMA-33 would be changed to
UDMA-100? Or maybe someone else who owns motherboard based on i815
will move their device from first channel to second and report us?

Have a nice day,
Andrey Nepomnyaschih
