I notice that the recent iterations of FreeBSD (4.1.1, 4.2 RC1) include support
for newer (read, available and affordable, plus Ultra 160 and therefore
consistent with hard drives that are available) RAID controllers such as Adaptec
2100S, DPT SmartRaid VI and Mylex AcceleRAID 170.

I cannot find any mention if you can boot from these controllers?

If this is not supported, is this a case of 'not yet', or is there some
technical reasons why they will never be able to support booting in FreeBSD?

Thanks in advance for your help
Colin
