Hell if Windows isn't recognizing some ethernet card, video card, sound card, I stick it in my FreeBSD machine where it's instantly recognized, and tells me what it is, so I can go back to the Windows machine and try to make it reognize it. I'm always AMAZED at how well FreeBSD (and OpenBSD) just recognize things immediately: no special drivers-CD-or-floppy needed.
