I've tried all morning to alias an IP on the nic of a machine and have
done it the way I've always done it. For some reson it won't work though.
Does anyone have a clue as to why I would get this

# ifconfig xl0 inet 63.169.99.15 -alias
ifconfig: ioctl (SIOCDIFADDR): Can't assign requested address
#

I'm at my whits end here.
