If there is any interest, I can prepare a patch to 3.9.15 to allow it to
work on FreeBSD/alpha. I am gradually submitting fixes back to the XFree86
folks when I am happy with things and I expect 4.0 to work 'out of the
box' for FreeBSD/alpha.
