Hi,

You could start with:

http://www.freebsd.org/doc/en_US.ISO8859-1/books/handbook/creating-cds.html

To blank a CD-RW (quick format)

	$burncd -f /dev/acd0 blank

To erase a CD-RW (full format)

	$burncd -f /dev/acd0 erase

This is assuming acd0 is the burner.


Regarding to wherever to use cdrecord or burncd I reckon you could read
their mans and see which one suits your needs.
