Remove them from group, but use vipw. passwd/master.passwd is used for
human viewable stuff, the real info is in pwd.db.

Application dependent, such as ftp.allow, or tacacs, etc.

There is a alpha/beta script that helps, I'm not sure what it is
however, check the archives of this mailing list. This comes up 
at least monthly.
