This procedure worked fine! I now have FreeBSD-3.1-RELEASE installed
on an alpha machine (433au). I am now working on getting a working
network interface so I can install a WWW proxy cache based on Apache
(to replace a similar service currently running on a Solaris box on my
desktop which is about to be replaced by another FreeBSD machine ;-)

Loren
