Unlikely: the FreeBSD Sparc port requires a "sun4u" 64bit UltraSparc
III processor. The SS5 uses a 'sun4m' 32bit MicroSparc II processor.

    http://www.freebsd.org/releases/5.0R/hardware-sparc64.html

The Sparc Station 5 is however capable of running netbsd:

or OpenBSD:

    http://www.openbsd.org/sparc.html

	Cheers,

	Matthew
