Check, are there cyrillic fonts in your system and dirs 
/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/cyrillic/...  with cyr fonts. If aren't,
install them from sysinstall.

FontPath variable is in the conf file:
/etc/X11/XF86Config.
