No, if HDD is formated with the format command in MS-DOS for pc98, it is installed 'HDD booting menu' in the HDD. Since the menu is substituting for boot0, boot0 is not always necessary to pc98. The 'loader' program is only transplanted for pc98. The boot2 (sys/boot/pc98/boot2) is the mostly same as the old biosboot (sys/pc98/boot/biosboot) . > boot2 is already capable of loading ELF, right?
