Folks, A while back I posted a question regarding the Intel PRO/1000T Server Adapter, which is a 1000BaseT (gig over copper) NIC. Intel is selling them in pairs for $230.00 at http://www.intel.com/network/offers/testdrive_adapter.htm. I wasn't sure if this NIC was among the supported Intel gigabit ethernet cards. Turns out, it is. Looks like it's a WISEMAN chipset. dmesg on a 4.3-STABLE machine says: wx0: <Intel PRO/1000 T Gigabit Ethernet> mem 0xfebe0000-0xfebeffff,0xfebc0000-0x febdffff irq 10 at device 20.0 on pci0 miibus0: <MII bus> on wx0 e1000phy0: <Marvell Semiconductor 88E1000* gigabit PHY> on miibus0 e1000phy0: 1000baseTX-FDX, 100baseTX-FDX, 100baseTX, 10baseTX-FDX, 10baseTX, au to wx0: Ethernet address 00:03:47:6b:64:71 and it seems to work just fine.
