Why? Remember that you shouldn't be root much, you should do most things
as another user. And you mean the "-A" option, they are different, -A
doesn't show "." and "..", while -a does. If you don't want that to
happen, remove this bit of code from /usr/src/bin/ls/ls.c (assuming you
have the source under /usr/src) and rebuild ls:

	/* Root is -A automatically. */
	if (!getuid())
		f_listdot = 1;
