why upgrade?

In anticipation of being able to use 'accept filters' in thttpd I built a
test machine running 4.x-stable. I am tring to get the bugs outs so when
a forthcoming/promised patch for thttpd comes out that allows us to
utilize 'accept filters' we will be ready. If we get everything working,
and notice an appreciable gain, then we will likely upgrade them all.
