I hadnīt discovered the /dev/rvinum when i installed vinum, so I did a: newfs -v /dev/vinum/vinum0 and mounted it, and it works just fine. Im not running on this systems, should I worry, did newfs autodetect the raw device? ==== MY Configuration === vinum -> l 2 drives: D vinumdrive0 State: up Device /dev/ad0s1e Avail: 0/2001 MB (0%) D vinumdrive1 State: up Device /dev/ad1s1f Avail: 0/2001 MB (0%) 1 volumes: V vinum0 State: up Plexes: 1 Size: 4002 MB 1 plexes: P vinum0.p0 S State: up Subdisks: 2 Size: 4002 MB 2 subdisks: S vinum0.p0.s0 State: up PO: 0 B Size: 2001 MB S vinum0.p0.s1 State: up PO: 256 kB Size: 2001 MB ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ /\/\orten $eeberg, Systems Consultant @ Merkantildata - Enterprise Solutions #echo 'System Administrators suck :)' > /dev/console To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
