Hi,

I'm getting a looping problem with make depend when trying to install Perl
5.6.1 on BSD 4.3. The loop creates a ton of make processes until the system
locks up. Any ideas?

EXERPT:

Now you need to generate make dependencies by running "make depend".
You might prefer to run it in background: "make depend > makedepend.out &"
It can take a while, so you might not want to run it right now.

Run make depend now? [y]
sh ./makedepend.SH
Extracting makedepend (with variable substitutions)
sh ./makedepend MAKE=make
/bin/sh Makefile.SH
Extracting Makefile (with variable substitutions)
sh ./makedepend.SH
Extracting makedepend (with variable substitutions)
make depend MAKEDEPEND=
sh ./makedepend.SH
Extracting makedepend (with variable substitutions)
sh ./makedepend MAKE=make
/bin/sh Makefile.SH
Extracting Makefile (with variable substitutions)
sh ./makedepend.SH
Extracting makedepend (with variable substitutions)
make depend MAKEDEPEND=
sh ./makedepend.SH

sh ./makedepend MAKE=make
/bin/sh Makefile.SH

sh ./makedepend.SH

make depend MAKEDEPEND=
sh ./makedepend.SH
