FYI, I am using tar (GNU tar) 1.13.17 with -L 20000000 without any problem.

2-3 month ago, when talking about PR# 14664, someone said
he was in the middle of bringing a newer tar into FreeBSD.
Unfortunately, I don't remember who it was...
