Failed once again by `man -k`! myprompt$ meta[presses tab key and tcsh shows me...] metacity metaflac metacity-message metalclock metacity-setup metaserver metacity-theme-viewer metatheme-edit metacity-window-demo metatheme_selector_capplet myprompt$ man -k metacity metacity: nothing appropriate myprompt$ man -k xinit xinit: nothing appropriate myprompt$ man xinit [displays the manpage (1) for xinit!!] So how do I find out information about selecting which windows manager to use with gnome but WITHOUT GOING INTO THE GUI after startx?
