root's crontab is /etc/crontab. You can edit it with any text editor.
cron automatically re-reads this file on a regular basis, so changes
don't require a kill -HUP.
Read "man 8 periodic" for details on how the periodic program calls
work. periodic is a pretty great program that can be easily customized
to do the jobs you want, when you want. (in conjunction with cron)
