the "ep" ethernet driver fails to initialize properly with my 3com
xem556 lan & modem combo card.

a different ethernet pccard (3com 589c) works fine under the same setup.

i have tried to figure this problem out for a week but i am at a
loss. does anybody have any suggestions?

the dmesg output is here:
http://www.holymonkey.com/tim/bsd/dmesg

the 'pccardc dumpcis' output is here:
http://www.holymonkey.com/tim/bsd/dumpcis

my kernel configuration is here:
http://www.holymonkey.com/tim/bsd/MYKERNEL

i am using the default pccard.conf:
http://www.holymonkey.com/tim/bsd/pccard.conf

i also ran 'pccardd -d' which gave the following output:
http://www.holymonkey.com/tim/bsd/pccardd

any help will be appreciated.
tim
