Thanks to helpful list memeber I now understand how to switch console modes.

However, when I do "vidcontrol 132x25, the console clears itself, and places a new
command prompt in the uper left hand corner of the screeen, so far, so goo. Heree's
where the trouble begins. If I just hit {RETURN} the cursor does move down one
line, but the new prompt is about 2/3 of the way across th scree, Something like
this:

wateral#
													   watera;#

And it gets worse after that. Looks a lot lke the classic printer/terminal NL/CR
problem.

Can anyone susgest what I might be doing wrong?
